Its one thing to be able to send our bulk SMS messages to your customers; but once they respond, you know that you have the attention of your customers. Most of all, two-way messaging can also be used to collect consumer information through advertising and marketing campaigns or additional campaign messages like the ones discussed on the right.

With Texta, you can run an Event RSVP campaign to find out how many people are confirming their attendance for an event.

Typical Scenario
You are tasked with the exciting job of organizing an event. Once all the initial invitations are sent out (by email, social media or print) the day of the event is coming closer and you now need to know exactly how many people are going to come to the event so, at the very least, you know how many packs of sausage rolls you need to order for the catering.

Texta’s Solution
Simply import a list of your event invitees into Texta. Setup an event in side the Event Management section. Create a message and use the smart tags #EventName#, #EventVenue#, #EventTime# to make your SMS specific to the event. For example:

Hi #FirstName#, we are hoping to see you for #EventName# on #EventTime# at #EventVanue#. Please reply YES to confirm your attendance.

When this message is sent, Texta will replace the smart tags with real text like so:

Hi John, we are hoping to see you for The WestField Corporate Gala Dinner on 15th of June at 7pm. Please reply YES to confirm your attendance.

Once messages go out and people start replying, after a few hours (once everyone that is going to reply has responded) you can, with just one click, export the list of all who said “YES” as an excel sheet. That’s it. There’s your event attendees list. Easy.

Typical Scenario
You’re a smart marketing guru and have got an awesome campaign in mind. But before you can win big through that campaign, you need to know some specific information about your customers mobile behavior. So you decide to run a survey to ask some questions. Your initial plan was to send the survey through email but you soon realized that email is dead. SMS is king and SMS has a better response rate than email, especially if you incentivise the recipients.

Texta’s Solution
You import your customer list inside Texta and decide to setup a new SMS Poll Campaign. The SMS Poll Campaign allows you to setup a multiple choice question with unlimited answer options. The question you want to ask is “What type of mobile phone do you have”?

Once you setup the question and start creating the message, you can use Smart Tags such as #Question#, #Options# to make the message specific to the question.

Howdy #FirstName#, we have a great campaign coming up but before we can tell you what’s coming, we just need to know one thing from you. #Question. #Options#. Have an awesome day.

When this message is delivered, it will look something like this:

Hi Sally, we have a great campaign coming up but before we can tell you what’s coming, we need to know one thing from you. What type of mobile phone do you have? Reply A for iPhone, B for Samsung, C for Other Android, D for The old Nokia Brick. Have an awesome day.

Once the message is delivered and people start responding, you can see a running tally of votes for each of the possible answers to the question you asked. Before long, you will have a full breakdown of how many of your customers have an iPhone Vs, Samsung, Vs Android Other and how many of the unfortunate still have the old Nokia Brick.

Roster Automation is all about automating delivery of certain SMS based on a sequence of events that are to occur over a period of time.

Typical Scenario
You run a sports club. Let’s say the JetSET Hockey Team. Every season you have tournaments with around 30 games taking place throughout the country with different teams at different venues and at different times of the day/week. You have an excel sheet with all this information with perhaps 5 columns like so:

Venue, Date, Time, Opponent, Notes

With this now saved, you can import the roster of events inside Texta and setup a Roster Automation Sequence in seconds.

Once the automation sequence is setup, messages will go out at the appointed time and date before the event date without you having to do anything.
